Narrowneck Day
9.00 am- 1:00 pm
If you don't have time for a full day ride, this journey allows you the opportunity to experience some of the scenic spots along this magnificent track.
The Narrowneck Plateau stretches out into the wilderness with the Jamison Valley on one side and the Megalong Valley on the other. It's a fantastic ride for those who just want a 'taste' of mountain biking; not too strenuous or technical. It follows the same route as the full day Narrowneck ride, so is mostly undulating with a couple of steep sections and plenty of time to stop and admire the views. Afternoon rides can also be arranged on request.
A great ride on a track that is closed to vehicle access. Experience some of the most stunning scenery in the Blue Mountains with some steep sections.
Narrowneck near Katoomba is a rock plateau which extends kilometres into the Blue Mountains National park, surrounded by thescenic Jamison and Megalong valleys. The dirt track which leads onto the plateau starts with a nice downhill section, followed by a short, steep uphill ride with scenic lookouts into the Jamison Valley. No cars are allowed on the majority of the track; it is reserved for mountain bikers and bushwalkers. The balance of the ride is undulating, with no long climbs or descents. A couple of short, steep gullies provide excitement and a chance to learn technical skills. Not too far from the end of the plateau a bushfire observation tower is strategically located. Here you can enjoy the magnificent views from high above the valley floor while having lunch in the bush. The return trip follows the same route.

The Oaks Fire Trail
10.00 am- 4:00 pm (weekdays) 9.30 am - 4.00 pm (weekends)
Meet at Woodford Station
This famous ride has its popularity from the fact that it runs only downhill (well, almost). It is great for people who don't want an adventure to be too adventurous.
This ride starts at Woodford railway station and finishes at Glenbrook railway station, only about 1 hour by train or car from Sydney city.If you come from Sydney by car, you should leave it at Glenbrook and take the train to Woodford, making for a convenient round trip with a vehicle at the end. Otherwise, use the train for the whole journey.A short distance from Woodford, the fun starts at a gate which keeps cars out. The terrain is undulating and the overall incline is downhill. Short hills are easily negotiated. An Aboriginal site at The Circles or Red Hands Cave and a side tour to a stand of huge Blue Gums at Toby's Glen are interesting places for side trips and breaks.
How fit do I need to be?
Anyone of an 'average' fitness will be fine for the Narrowneck and Oaks Fire Trail, but remember that you'll probably be using muscles you haven't used for some time, so it's okay to sometimes get off and push! Your guide will adapt the day to suit your needs.
